Two community groups in Rutherglen held a haunting Halloween Hoolie in the Reuther Hall.
Nostalgia and People’s Past People’s Future (PPPF) got together to host the joint fancy dress event at the Victoria Street venue.
Many older community members were invited along to the free party and enjoyed music by DJ Gordon Hutchison.
They also tucked into a tasty buffet that was donated by Malcolm McAskill.
There are plans to continue with the scary night in future years.
Ruglonian Facebook activist Joyce Wilson had to go to work at 8am on the Sunday morning following the party.
She got a bigger fright than most when she tried to remove her green face paint, it didn’t come off and she turned up at work still looking like a witch.
Geraldine Baird from Nostalgia, said: “It was a great night, free and fun. This is the second year we have hosted, and we may make it an annual event.”
Liz McWilliamson from PPPF, added: “We have arranged lots of community events, and this one is one of the most popular. One happy guest, Chrissie McCann, is 82 years old and was still up for the slosh!”
