A young man was shot on a Bronx street Wednesday — scattering a number of men who bolted after the broad-daylight bloodshed, police said.
The 23-year-old victim was hit in the torso around 4 p.m. on 163rd Street and Third Avenue in Melrose. He was initially taken in a private car to BronxCare Hospital Center, and then transferred to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, cops said.
Multiple males fled on foot after the shooting, cops said. There were no immediate arrests.
Cops asked that anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls are confidential.
