The final two episodes of Agatha All Along have dropped on Disney Plus… and it’s fair to say that this double-bill finale has sent fans absolutely wild.

Some viewers have declared that the show is without a doubt one of the best Marvel has ever released, with others lauding it for giving them one of their favourite TV-watching experiences ever.

Agatha all Along, which was created as a spin-off of the 2021 series WandaVision, sees Kathryn Hahn reprise her role as Agatha Harkness alongside a coven of witches, including the reincarnated Billy Maximoff (Joe Locke).

In episodes eight and nine, the coven’s journey on the Witches’ Road comes to an end, resulting in Agatha and Billy having to face a big challenge – a clash with Death herself, the original Green Witch Rio (Aubrey Plaza).

Agatha sacrifices herself by sharing a passionate kiss with her ex-lover Rio, causing her own death.

Up Next

When Billy returns to his bedroom at home at the end of episode eight, he slowly realises that there are several objects in his room that match key moments from the Road, before hearing Agatha laughing behind him.

It later emerges that Billy was the one who created the Road using his powers, much to Agatha’s shock – as over the centuries, she had made up the myth of Road as a way to lure in other witches and steal their powers.

Before she came up with this dastardly scheme, Agatha spent her time protecting and raising her son Nicholas Scratch, who viewers finally meet in episode nine.

Moments before giving birth to Nicholas in the 18th century, Agatha is visited by Death – who makes it clear that Nicholas is not supposed to live.

Moved by Agatha’s pleas to let her son live, Death gives her former lover more time with her son – until he’s six years old, when he eventually dies after succumbing to an illness.

Back in present day, Billy is visited by the ghost of Agatha after her death, who admits that she’s reluctant to disappear completely as she’s afraid to face her son Nicholas in Death.

And so, an alive Billy and an unalive Agatha venture out together to find Billy’s twin brother, Tommy, who has seemingly been reincarnated into another boy’s body, just like Billy was reincarnated in the body of William Kaplan.

Fans who tuned in to watch Agatha All Along on Disney Plus were left in awe by the final two instalments.

‘#AgathaAllAlong has one of the best finale’s for a MCU show. Love how it completely changes what we thought we knew about the story,’ @MovieCooper wrote on X.

‘Obvious set up for future stories that hopefully aren’t too far off. Really strong finish for the series.’
