JJ Gilmour, former member of internationally-acclaimed Scottish band The Silencers, will make plenty of noise when he enjoys a Monklands homecoming just before Christmas.
The Coatbridge musician is taking to the stage at Airdrie’s Sir John Wilson town hall on December 20 for Jinky Bells .
The festive showcase is described as an “evening of entertainment with heartfelt songs from JJ’s lengthy solo career mixed with his usual banter – and a few Christmas themed songs too”.
JJ made his recording debut in 1989 with The Silencers but after seven action-packed years of gigging and making gold albums, decided to go solo.
Now, with a number of critically acclaimed albums under his belt, the singer-songwriter has a wealth of material to choose from at his Airdrie gig.
Organisers advise that JJ’s shows “always a sell-out, so get in there quickly”.
The gig gets underway at 7.30pm and is for over-16s only; under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Get tickets, priced £22, now by calling 01698 274545 or visiting the Culture NL website.
