A man has been arrested and charged after police stopped a car on a major Scots road and recovered £150,000 worth of cannabis.
The vehicle was stopped by officers on the A9 in Perthshire near to Auchterarder on Friday November 1 at around 12.45pm. Herbal cannabis worth an estimated street value of £150,000 was seized.
A 41-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday, 4 November, 2024.
Detective Superintendent Steven Elliott said: “This is a significant recovery which will impact heavily on those involved in this type of criminality.
“This operation underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
