It is a kit much loved by the Celtic faithful and it could be set for a big return next summer.

If you haven’t guessed already, it’s the iconic ‘bumblebee’ design. Reliable kit leakers Footy Headlines say that Brendan Rodgers’ troops will turn out in the throwback design for the 2025/26 season as their away colours. The website reports that it will be worn for the new Scottish Premiership season but as things stand there is no exact information but they state “Although there is no exact information about the colour, the Adidas Celtic 2025-2026 away jersey will most likely be the main colour of volt/light blue combined with black..”

The 1996/97 design made waves when released and was a firm favourite between fans. A version of the iconic look was reintroduced in the 2009/10 campaign and it will reportedly return.

It comes after the same website also leaked that the home kit will feature a tartan design. Like the above, they state that: “While the exact colour scheme of the Adidas-designed shirt remains unknown, it’s expected to maintain Celtic’s traditional green and white, with the tartan element likely to offer a fresh twist on the club’s iconic Hoops.”
