Hollywood actor James McAvoy made a surprise appearance at GlasGLOW, the UK’s largest Halloween event, over the weekend.
The star was spotted enjoying the festivities in Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens, where the event is running until November 10.
McAvoy shared his experience on Instagram, posting a selfie from the ‘Up’ section of the show and thanking the organisers for a great time. The post has already garnered over 187,000 likes.
He wrote: “Thanks a million to all at @itisonglasglow for showing us such a good time. #glasglow#whattodoinglasgow.”
GlasGLOW’s team were thrilled to welcome McAvoy and his family, even managing to snap a quick picture with the A-lister.
Megan expressed her excitement, stating: “This year’s GlasGLOW is definitely the best yet and a visit from James McAvoy has topped it off for us. The team’s been buzzing since he got in touch and it was lovely to meet him last night. I’m happy to confirm that he did go through Clowntown.”
The event, now in its seventh year, continues to impress visitors and has received glowing reviews from Capital FM, Family Days Out Scotland, and Millenial Menu.
Visitors to GlasGLOW: Trick or Treat were treated to 10 epic worlds, including the magical world of UP, the interactive fun of Carnevil, the community-curated Pumpkin Patch, and a spectacular immersive lawn show – THE GLOW – and not forgetting Marshmallowland, everyone’s favourite selfie spot.
Limited tickets for the final week can be purchased here.
A team of over 150 people have been working tirelessly for over a year to bring this event to life.
Since its launch in 2018, nearly 750,000 people have visited the annual event, with approximately 85,000 attendees expected this year.
