The 2024 sailing season on Castle Loch, Lochmaben was brought to a close with Annandale Sailing Club’s annual winter supper and presentation of prizes on Saturday night.
Members and friends gathered in the clubhouse for a buffet before Commodore Stephen Thomas Bate and Vice Commodore Trudie Mitchell ran through the year’s busy racing programme, presenting trophies and prizes for a variety of regattas and race series.
The overall Club Championship went to Carol Beattie, with Trudie Mitchell second and David Richardson third.
Overall Junior Champion was Jessica Brown, with her sister Katie second and Murray Wilson third.
Special prizes were given out to most improved adult/team, Stephen Wilson and his daughter Elise; most improved junior sailors, Murray and Erin McKendrick and enthusiast of the year, David Richardson.

The club’s AGM is scheduled for December 1 and the 2025 sailing season will open in March.
