Police said a pedestrian, identified as 42-year-old Angela Cantu, was killed in the crash.

AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department (APD) is asking for information on a deadly hit-and-run crash on West Ben White Boulevard on Sunday.

APD said on Nov. 3, at approximately 7:35 p.m., officers responded to a crash involving a pedestrian in the 600 block of the West Ben White Boulevard eastbound service road. Police said a driver hit the pedestrian, identified as 42-year-old Angela Cantu, and drove off. Cantu was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

No one has been arrested in connection with this crash, and APD asks that anyone with any information contact the Vehicular Homicide Unit at 512-974-8111 or submit a tip through Capital Area Crime Stoppers online or by calling 512-472-8477.

This is being investigated as Austin’s 75th fatal crash of 2024, resulting in 80 total deaths. By Nov. 3 of 2023, there had been 76 fatal crashes that resulted in 79 deaths.
