AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/Gray News) – A large alligator caused a disruption in Augusta, Georgia.
There was a police presence along St. Sebastian Way in downtown Augusta Monday afternoon, keeping people away from a large alligator.
The alligator, estimated to be about 10 feet long, was spotted between Broad Street and the Augusta Canal.
Deputies on the scene waited patiently for the alligator to leave. However, the alligator didn’t appear in a hurry to go anywhere.
A neighbor said she believed the gator had been living nearby for a while.
