Debenhams has unveiled its own advert for Christmas this year and it features an all-star cast that is led by Elizabeth Hurley.

Many of us might be excited for the holiday season, but also dread the hectic shopping experience. Which is why the retailer’s own 30-second clip mocks the festive madness that we experience every year.

Dubbed ‘Duh, Debenhams’, the light-hearted ad boldly encourages shoppers to embrace online shopping this year. Featuring a cast of four British icons, it showcases how you can beat the mad crowds and bad weather by purchasing your gifts from the comforts of your own home.

The advert features English actress and model Elizbeth Hurley lounging on a sofa in a green sparkly dress as she browses Debenhams’ online marketplace with ease. Set against the backdrop of shoppers in dreary weather, the 59 year-old cheekily quips, “Duh, Debenhams.”

The star-studded line-up is complete with TV host Leomie Anderson, comedian Ellie Taylor and model/presenter Hannah Cooper-Dommett. All of them embrace the retailer’s new tagline in response to the relatable Christmas shopping dilemma.
