Good Morning Britain‘s Susanna Reid was left mortified after making a gaffe on today’s programme.
Susanna and her co-host Ed Balls are anchoring from Washington, D.C. in anticipation of the US election, where Donald Trump is set to face off against Kamala Harris for the presidency.
Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway are helming from the London studio, joined by news reporter Ranvir Singh. Laura Tobin is handling weather duties this Tuesday morning, with various correspondents stationed across the US, reports the Mirror.
However, Susanna made a significant error as she welcomed viewers back to their US coverage.
She said: “Good Morning Britain. From Washington, D.C., American voters go to the polls to either put Donald Tramp-Trump-excuse me-back in the White House or promote Kamala Harris to President of the United States.”
Fans of the show were left divided after the break from the usual format as Richard and Kate stayed in the studio, joined by newsreader Ranvir Singh.
The show focused on the US election, but it was the inclusion of American weather updates that really raised eyebrows.
One viewer took to social media to express their disinterest, saying: “Like we’re interested in American weather . #GMB,” while another agreed, posting: “We do not need USA weather ….jeez #GMB.”
