BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR/Gray News) – Police in North Dakota are investigating the death of a child struck by a vehicle.

Mandan police say on Wednesday afternoon, officers responded to a home where a 3-year-old reportedly fell from a vehicle.

Police say the driver didn’t realize the child had fallen from the vehicle and hit him.

The child was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The identity and age of the child has not been released.

Mandan police and the North Dakota Highway Patrol are investigating the incident.
