Dundee boss Tony Docherty faces a sweat to see if Scott Fraser will be fit for the weekend trip to Aberdeen.
The midfielder missed the weekend win over Kilmarnock with a groin issue and has been sent for scans. The medical team is waiting for the issue to settle down, and Docherty will get a better idea over the next 48 hours whether or not he will be able to call on the 29-year-old.
It is a frustration for Docherty as he had to be patient in his pursuit of the former Dundee United player. Fraser was also getting close to full match sharpness after his move to Dens Park in September. The Dark Blues moved into the top six at the weekend and will look to cement that when they head to Pittodrie on Saturday night. Meanwhile, Docherty haș praised Oluwaseun Adewumi for the impact he is starting to make at Dundee.
The Austrian under-21 cap has signed on-loan from Burnley until January. He was influential in the comeback against Kilmarnock.
Docherty said: “He’s a really, really talented player. He’s one that we were desperate to bring here. He came into the season later on so he’s a good bit behind in terms of the games. I was really pleased with his performance.
“He’s fine with the injury. We were a wee bit worried about it at the time. But no, the medics have looked at him and he’s fine.”
