Luke Bibby is unstoppable.

The talented Perth boxer made it an incredible seven victories out of seven on Friday night at Alloa Town Hall.

The 24-year-old dominated Brayan Mairena of Nicaragua to win on a points decision after six rounds.

The former Perth Railway Boxing Club youngster has made a remarkable start since going pro in January: unbeaten in 2024 without losing a single round.

And the huge prospect says he is only getting started as he dreams of one day winning a world title.

Reflecting on his latest triumph, Bibby said to the PA: “It is the best feeling in the world.

“You can’t really match it with anything else.

“I boxed well and I know if I show up and box to my abilities everything will take care of itself.

“He was tough and he survived the six rounds. I nearly had him a couple of times but he was as tough as they come.

“What he did do was throw wild shots that I had never really seen before – they were not really textbook.

Bibby was dominant throughout

“So I had to be wary of that. The ones you don’t see coming are the ones that hurt you the most.

“But I was dealing with them and then it was pure domination from there.

“It was a great experience. I felt really fit. I felt I could have gone on all night after the sixth round.

“I made the lightweight limit as well. So it puts me in good stead going forward knowing that I can perform at this weight class.”

Bibby had a strong family and friends following in the crowd, who sang away as they witnessed what Bibby called his “best performance yet”.

Alloa Town Hall is a happy hunting ground for Bibby

“I think every fight I have had I have been better and better,” he explained.

“Every fight my coach Billy [Nelson] says: ‘It is the best you have ever boxed’.

“So long may that continue.

“I had really good support there from family and friends. They sang the roof off the place.

“I also keep building on my fan base every fight. It is growing naturally and everyone from Perth is getting behind me.”

Luke will take a week-long break – his first this year – before returning to the gym for a hotly anticipated 2025 where he will take the step up to 10 round bouts.

“We are working on the next fight at the moment but it won’t be until the end of January to the start of February,” he beamed.

“I can’t wait.”
