Martha Church met with an untimely exit from the Big Brother house during Halloween Week, leaving fans stunned by the unexpected twist.

At the start of the week, Head of House Emma was charged with the task of nominating four housemates for eviction, resulting in Ali, Martha, Khaled, and Thomas being put on the chopping block.

It all came to a head when the nominated housemates were assembled in the garden, where it was disclosed that public votes had sealed Martha’s fate, requiring her immediate departure, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Post-eviction, Martha didn’t mince words about her housemates’ affairs, particularly touching on Baked Potato (Rosie) and Nathan’s budding romance. The duo has been virtually inseparable since acknowledging their mutual attraction.

Martha shared insights into the budding relationship: “I do, I think it’s really nice. They’re both such different people and I think that’s how it works.”

With optimism, she added, “They both deserve happiness and I think it would be lovely if something comes out of it. From an inside point of view, it’s 100% real.”

The on-screen romance sparked disconnect with viewers as some expressed discontent during Sunday’s viewing. Moments after Dean’s exit, Rosie and Nathan’s intimacy escalated, culminating in them cuddling up in bed and sharing kisses. In praise of Rosie, Nathan expressed, “You’re so lovely, do you know that? I think it’s great.”

Viewers of the show were left squirming on their sofas and took to X, previously known as Twitter, to express their dismay.

One disgruntled fan wrote: “I’d literally rather watch Jordan and Henry going at it in the back garden than see one more second of this Nathan/ Baked Potato crap. We don’t need to see this sh**!”.

Another added their two cents, saying: “Can’t believe we have another week of Nathan and Baked Potatoes fake relationship [sic].” A third chimed in with: “Can someone tell @bbuk that we really are sick, physically to the stomach too of seeing Nathan and Baked potato scenes. They are so cringe it’s sickening. I feel it’s a 20:80 relationship.”

And a fourth lamented: “I’m sorry, but I can’t watch this weird baked potato and Nathan thing anymore… it’s not real! I keep turning my head every time they hug, it’s not reallllllll.”

Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX followed by Big Brother: Late & Live at 10pm.
