Carlisle will invite racegoers to join them in paying tribute to those who lost their lives fighting for their country during the track’s meeting on Remembrance Day.

The Cumbria course have an excellent day of Jumps action taking place on Monday – which falls on the day the nation commemorates British service members who have died in wars and other military conflicts since the onset of World War I.

The Carlisle Branch of the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment will be on-site with a stand, collecting donations to support our local troops. And a moment of silence will also take place to honour those who served, and a British Legion Poppy Seller will be present for anyone wishing to buy poppies.

The showpiece Weatherbys Graduation Chase – worth £50,000 – will be run for the first time in three years after previous meeting postponements.

Notable entries include the Paul Nicholls-trained Cheltenham Gold Cup hopeful Kalif Du Berlais as well as Perthshire trainer Lucinda Russell’s Primroz, L’eau Du Sud for the Skeltons and Path D’Oroux potentially making the trip over from Ireland for Gavin Cromwell.
