A Stewartry holiday park has been named the best caravanning site in the UK.
Experts from GO Outdoors looked at more than 100 caravan parks across the UK, rating them based on aspects such as pricing, visitor ratings, facilities and their proximity to a beach. And Auchenlarie Holiday Park near Gatehouse came out on top, receiving a score of 9.98 out of 10.
GO Outdoors state: “The site has an average user review rating of 4.57 stars out of five, with visitors citing the idyllic views of Wigtown Bay and affordable food at the on-site shop.
“A games room, swimming pool and on-site entertainment provide plenty of activities to enjoy throughout the day and make the park excellent value for money.
