Kilmarnock have suffered an injury blow as Derek McInnes confirmed centre-back Stuart Findlay could be out for as much as four months with an ankle ligament injury.
The 29-year-old centre-back was stretchered off in the first half of Sunday’s 3-2 away loss to Dundee and is set for an extended period on the sidelines.
While scan results have yet to reveal the extent of the damage, McInnes confirmed it was ‘severe’ with a timetable not yet known for his return to action.
McInnes said: “Thankfully, there is no dislocation or fracture, but there is severe ligament damage.“We are waiting for the results of the scan, he could be out for two, three or four months.”
The gaffer also confirmed that winger Danny Armstrong is a doubt for Sunday’s home clash against Celtic with a hamstring issue.
