Prince William has today given an update about his wife’s health, describing her as ‘amazing’.

For almost a year the Princess of Wales has been battling cancer after revealing in March that she was having preventative chemotherapy following the discovery of pre-cancerous cells.

She has since completed a course of the treatment and is focused on remaining cancer free and returning to her duties in the Royal Family.

Addressing Kate’s health at tonight’s Earthshot Prize in Cape Town, her husband confirmed she is doing ‘really well’, adding: ‘Hopefully she’s watching tonight and cheering me on.

‘She has been amazing this whole year and I know she will be keen to see tonight be a success.’

The Prince of Wales is currently in Cape Town on a four-day royal tour focusing on the climate culminating in his presentation of the Earthshot Prize.

Throughout the year, the heir to the throne has not opened up about Kate’s scare.

He was featured in a heartwarming video of Kate and their three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, in which she updated the public about her health.
