A single dad and a pregnant mum trolleyed over £340 worth of groceries for free from a Cambuslang convenience store.
Gary Osborne and Kimberly Scott both took part in a Supermarket Sweep-style competition at Nisa Local.
They both had 60 seconds each to fill up a basket with goods from the shop after being selected for the Snappy Shopper Store Dash in celebration of the store’s home delivery service with the Snappy Shopper app.
Between them they left the shop with grocery goods totalling a combined £341.42. Alcohol, tobacco and lottery items were excluded from the store dash.
Kimberly, a self-employed hairdresser who is already a mum-of-two, focused on grabbing essential household items. She loaded her basket with laundry detergents, snacks and – with Christmas not too far off – a dozen boxes of chocolates. The items totted up to over £160.
“The dash went really quickly but I am delighted to have grabbed plenty of chocolates to dish out for Chritstmas,”
Gary, a removal man, joined in the excitement when he secured almot £181 worth of goods for his four kids during his sweep of the store.
“It was brilliant fun and a really good idea. I’d definitely recommend others give it a go,” said Gary.
Snappy Shopper’s home delivery service brings groceries from store to door in as little as 30 minutes, all whilst supporting local convenience stores.
New Snappy Shopper customers can enjoy £10 off their first order using the code SNAP10.
