Red-Hot Celtic have Brugge on high alert three weeks before they battle it out in a European blockbuster.

And £15m-rated Maxim De Cuyper barely allowed himself time to enjoy their famous win over Aston Villa before he warned of the dangers they face at the newly-restored ‘Fortress Paradise’. Brugge breathed new life into their Champions League campaign and the win over Villa sees them on six points – one point behind Celtic before their meeting on November 27.

Brugge cashed in on Tyrone Ming’s epic handball gaffe but one of their finest players – who is close pals with Arne Engels – is begging fans to stay realistic before they face off with Celtic. De Cuyper said: “We shouldn’t get too far ahead of ourselves. It’s easy to say that winning at Celtic is possible. But try playing in that stadium. We know exactly what kind of atmosphere awaits us there. It certainly won’t be as easy as everyone thinks.”

And De Cuyper was buoyant as he revealed the secret behind leaving Unai Emery‘s side wanting. He added: “We knew we couldn’t fall into their trap. We stayed patient the entire match and didn’t make the mistake of attacking their central defenders.”
