A man convicted of sex offences against girls has been jailed for four and a half years.
Ross McCafferty, 23, was also placed on the sex offenders’ register for an indefinite period.
He was sentenced when he appeared from custody via videolink at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
A jury had found McCafferty guilty of five charges following a trial earlier this year.
These included sexually assaulting a girl aged 11 to 12 at an address in Blantyre between 2020 and 2022.
McCafferty also molested a 16-year-old girl in Stonehouse in 2023 and assaulted another female in Hamilton earlier this year.
He was also convicted of sending a sexual image and sexual messages to a 13-year-old girl and breaching bail conditions relating to his internet use. Sheriff John Speir also imposed 10-year non-harassment orders in relation to each of McCafferty’s victims.
