Young people from all sections of the 113th Burnside Scouts got dressed for the occasion as they enjoyed some spooky Hallowe’en fun in and around their hall in Crawfurd Road.

From Squirrels aged four years old right up to the group’s 17-year-old Explorer scouts- everyone had a great time.

Dooking for apples both in the traditional way for the younger ones, and through a rope climbing challenge for the older ones; eating scones coated in treacle hanging from the ceiling, dancing to scary music hits and playing party games.

Most dressed up in amazing costumes, even the volunteer leaders entered fully into the spirit of fancy dress too.

Michelle Mackenzie, Squirrel Scout leader said: “Everyone loves a party. Our little Squirrels had so much fun this week, dressing up and trying new challenges. That’s the wonder of scouts – we help develop skills for life for all ages through safe, fun and adventurous programmes.

“We still have a few spaces in our Squirrels who meet on Friday nights at our two sessions, either at 3.45pm or 5pm.
