BECKLEY, W.Va. – After winning sectionals and regionals, the Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles qualified for the boys AAA semifinals as the No. 2 seed taking on the No. 3 seed Wheeling Park Patriots.
It be a slow start, until the 32nd minute when Coby Dillon scored the first goal of the match and lead 1-0 at half. In the second half, Dillon would add another to lead 2-0 after a penalty kick.
However, the Patriots stormed back in the final 25 minutes scoring two goals to tie it up 2-2.
The game would head to over OT and would reach double OT where AJ Bishop scored the game-winning goal off an assist from Michael Fayiah to win it 3-2 and head to the state championship.
Woodrow Wilson will take on Hurricane in the state championship Saturday.
