A dry cold front will shift across Central Texas early Thursday, dipping temperatures in its wake.

AUSTIN, Texas — While the first half of the week holds warm conditions across Central Texas, be prepared to break out the fall jackets again as the workweek comes to a close.

On Wednesday night, a dry cold front will enter the region from the Texas Hill Country, dropping down low morning temperatures by about 10 to 20 degrees on Thursday morning.

This will feel a bit chilly compared to the 50- and 60-degree lows Austin experienced earlier on in the week.

Northerly winds take over in the wake of the front. Hill Country lows could be as cool as the mid- or lower 40s for Mason, Llano and Gillespie counties.

Clear skies will allow cooler temperatures to develop overnight Thursday into Friday.
