Following a four-year hiatus, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is reintroducing its popular after show with a new twist.
This year, ITV is launching I’m A Celeb: Unpacked, a fresh spin-off series that will bring fans closer to the jungle antics, celebrity gossip, and behind-the-scenes moments they’ve missed.
The show was previously called I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Now! until 2015 and I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp, which ran from 2016 until 2019.
The return of the after show, now branded as Unpacked, was officially announced on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday, October 29.
Comedian Joel Dommett, last years winner of the jungle Sam Thompson, and Capital Radio DJ Kemi Rodgers were confirmed as the hosts for the series on ITV2.
Masked Singer host Joel expressed his excitement about returning to the jungle universe.
Speaking to Richard Arnold on GMB, Joel explained: “I did the extra show for three years, which I loved. I feel like I learned everything there. And then it stopped for a couple of years, and it feels like the right time to bring it back.”
He also hinted that the after show will feature some new elements: “We’re really sort of mixing it up. We’re changing it a lot. Obviously, we’ve changed the name, which is great. And we’re going to have Ant and Dec on every day talking through lots of stuff.”
Viewers of the show will be encouraged to join all the lively debates via social media and the app, as well as asking questions that the campmates will be able to answer in the Bush Telegraph or the studio once they’ve left camp.
Where to watch
The after show will be broadcast live on ITV2 and available for streaming on ITVX, where it will be accessible for on demand viewing, if anyone misses the show.
In addition to it airing live straight after I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, the show will also be repeated on ITV the following day during the afternoon.
