This week, following an interview with the judges, she said she had stepped out “with my heart full of pride and my head held high”.
She posted: “Those who know me, know I’ve got a big personality — but they might not realise how nervous I get in moments like this.
“Of course, I want to make all of Great Britain proud. Today, I’m especially grateful for my former National Director @paulaabbandonato and all the incredible Miss Universe Great Britain Queens who’ve come before me. Their support has meant the world, and it truly takes a village to raise a Queen.
“The interview format was like speed dating, giving us the chance to speak with each judge individually. My main message today was simple: Never Give Up.
“We all know this isn’t my first, second, or third time aiming for the Miss Universe stage — it’s my fourth.
“So, to anyone pursuing a new goal or dream: it’s never too late!
“As women, we don’t expire, and neither do our dreams.”
The 30-year-old grew up in a vibrant Scottish-Filipino household, her family nurtured her passions for dancing and singing while instilling in her a curiosity for diverse cultures.
