A Newmains mum has thanked her daughter for helping her through health issues over the past 12 months.

Pauline Davidson decided to nominate her daughter Sarah and her partner William for our weekly Say it with Flowers competition after having helped her over the past year after being admitted in hospital in February.

Speaking to Lanarkshire Live this week, Pauline said: “Sarah actually called the ambulance and if she hadn’t done so it could have been a different story.

“I was in intensive care for a fortnight and was told it would be a long road to recovery.

“It has been very difficult and I couldn’t have done it without Sarah and her partner William.

“For the first few months I couldn’t do anything. They have done everything for me as I lost all use of muscles and limbs.

“My bed was in the living room and Sarah cooked, cleaned and looked after the house for me.

“I am getting better and can do a bit more but I’m still not 100 per cent. I struggle to walk up stairs for example.

“But both of them have been absolutely tremendous.

“They have really went above and beyond for me and I can’t thank them enough.

“They have been absolute angels.”

After Pauline told us all about Sarah’s dedication to her family we decided to surprise her at her home in Newmains with a beautiful bouquet of flowers thanks to our friends at Pixie’s Petals.

Pauline added: “If I could give them more I absolutely would but I just wanted to show how much I appreciate everything they have done for me.

“I could never re-pay Sarah and William for everything they have done for me but I thought this would be a small token of my appreciation.”
