A yellow warning for snow and ice has been issued across parts of Ayrshire.
The Met Office has warned of possible disruption on Monday, November 18 and Tuesday, November 19 as colder weather is expected to arrive over the weekend.
The warning covers most of southern Scotland including most of East Ayrshire, as well as parts of North and South Ayrshire.
Coastal areas are expected to avoid the worst of the weather but areas including Kilmarnock, the Irvine Valley, Cumnock, Doon Valley, Carrick, Kilbirnie and Stewarton are included in the warning area.
The Met Office has advised there is “a small chance of disruption from snow and ice” from 10am on Monday until 10am on Tuesday.
Residents have been warned to expect icy conditions which may mean “a small chance of injuries from slips and falls”.
Some untreated paths may be impassable and there is “a slight chance that bus and train services may be delayed or cancelled”.
Drivers are being urged to plan their route and check ahead for any potential delays.
