A rural Scottish inn that has been described as “delightful” can now be booked at half price.

The Bein Inn is a luxury hotel situated Perth and Edinburgh near the village of Glenfarg. Dating back to the 19th century, it was originally a resting place for travellers.

At the moment, an overnight stay for two at The Bein Inn is available for £99 through voucher website Wowcher. With the standard price for a one-night stay being £224, this marks a discount of 56 per cent.

All of the rooms at the hotel include amenities such as mounted flatscreen TVs with Netflix and Freesat and complimentary tea and coffee facilities. Also included in the Wowcher deal is glass of Prosecco each on arrival and a late 11am checkout.

Visitors can enjoy a free two-course dinner at The Bein Inn’s restaurant, which serves up dishes such as fish and chips and burgers. A full Scottish breakfast is also included in the deal.

Meanwhile, the hotel is home to a sun terrace and a live music venue and karaoke bar. It is also dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend along with you.

“It was basic but very affordable for the price we paid.”

Meanwhile, on the other hand, another Tripadvisor user said: “I live local to the Bein Inn, so have always tried to support it, but the food has always been pretty poor. I try it again when I hear it’s under new management, but so far, it’s been average and I know I could do better at home.”

If you are looking for a staycation spot in the area, but The Bein Inn doesn’t appeal, there are plenty of other nearby accommodation options. Some of the standouts include the boutique Cairn Lodge hotel in Auchterarder and The Tipsy Coo pub with rooms in the small town of Bridge of Earn.
