Cobra Kai season six has continued its thrilling narrative, following up on Tory Nichols’ surprising decision at the end of part one.
The second part of the final season of the Netflix karate drama has been unveiled, seeing the dojos jet off to Barcelona for the Sekai Tekai tournament to compete on the mat.
However, in the wake of her mother’s heartbreaking death, Tory Nichols (portrayed by Peyton List) decided to abandon Miyagi-Do in favour of Cobra Kai, setting her up for a showdown with her boyfriend and friends.
As Tory becomes the focal point in the second part of the sixth series, here’s everything you need to know about actress Peyton List.
Acting and modelling
Born in April 1998, Peyton is the only girl among three siblings who embarked on an acting and modelling career at a tender age.
Her acting debut was at the age of four, featuring in the soap opera As The World Turns in 2002.
She subsequently appeared in a host of other high-profile shows and films, including Sex and the City, Spider-Man 2, Law and Order SVU, and 27 Dresses.
Simultaneously, she pursued a modelling career, appearing in adverts for Little Monkey Lost and Kraft Macaroni and modelling for brands such as Clean and Clear and Limited Too.
Peyton graced the cover of Girl’s Life magazine, as well as PROM and Bridal Guide.
In 2011, she joined the Disney family, featuring as Emma Ross in the show Jessie for four years and subsequently working on other teen projects such as Light As A Feather, Valley Girl, Bunk’d, School Spirits and Girl Haunts Boy.
Romance with co-star
Peyton is in a relationship with her Cobra Kai co-star, Jacob Bertrand, who plays Eli Moskowitz in the Netflix series.
While Peyton was starring in Disney’s Jessie, Jacob was part of the Disney XD show Kirby Buckets. They first met in 2015 while working on the Disney original film The Swap.
They remained friends for several years before their relationship blossomed into romance.
In March 2022, the stars confirmed their relationship, with Bertrand telling TMZ: “We’ve been dating for a while. I’ve never dated anyone I’ve worked with before. This is almost a trial by fire.
“I met her when I was like 15. I was actually tight friends with her brother Spencer, so that was kinda awkward to be like, ‘Hey man, I like your sister.’ “But yeah, we had fun on set and then hung out off-set.'”
Two years ago, Peyton spoke about their relationship to Page Six, saying: “It’s been so fun. I feel like we’re all best friends and getting to have, like, a person that I really love in the same city I’m just so grateful for him.
“He’s the nicest person. But it is weird [on set] because I feel like we’re with everyone but each other on the show.”
After Cobra Kai
According to her IMDb profile, the 26 year old already has another show in the pipeline, which she first worked on in 2023.
Peyton is set to return to the Paramount+ show School Spirits, reprising her role as Maddie Nears.
In the drama series, Maddie finds herself trapped in the afterlife and begins to investigate her own mysterious disappearance. The more she delves into it, the more secrets and lies she uncovers.
While an official release date for the second season hasn’t been confirmed yet, the show is expected to return in 2025.
