These dark, cold evenings provide the perfect ambience for wanting to create a cosy environment in time for December.

One of the simplest ways to transform your home into something a little more festive is by purchasing a new duvet set. Fortunately, trusty home retailer Dunelm has quite a few options to browse through right now.

However, one that is proving seriously popular is the Catherine Lansfield Let It Snow Cotton Rich Red Duvet Cover and Pillowcase Set. Averaging a near perfect rating, this bedding set is said bring a “festive feel” to your bedroom.

While the idea of Christmas bedding might conjure up images of something childlike, its chic Nordic patchwork design ensures it is “suitable for all ages”. Crafted from a polyester-cotton blend, it is cosy enough for snuggling up during the festive season.

The reversible design boasts a rich red and white fairisle design that is perfect for a simple touch of Christmas. If you flip it over, you get something a bit more fun with printed snowflakes, hearts and a ‘Let it Snow’ text on a red, beige and white background.

While someone else added: “Fun Christmas extravagance, suitable for all ages.”

And another said: “Delighted with my Xmas duvet sets. As per instructions l washed before use, no dye problems and a dream to iron.”

One shopper did advise that the colours are not as “vivid” as the pictures. They wrote in their four-star critique: “It is extremely well produced, colour not as vivid as expected, but pleased on the whole with it.”

Meanwhile, a one star reviewer was disappointed with how the set arrived: “Arrived promptly, lovely material and looks great. Would have given five stars except that one of the pillowcases had gaping great holes where the seams hadn’t been sewn together properly. Too late to return as needed it for early family Christmas. Shame.”
