Prince Harry’s relationship with other senior royals has been notably tense in recent years.
After leaving the UK and establishing a new life in California, the Duke of Sussex has openly discussed his struggles within the monarchy, having only reunited with his family on a few occasions at Royal events.
One such event was the Platinum Jubilee celebrations for the late Queen Elizabeth in 2022. Meghan Markle joined Harry at a Service of Thanksgiving for the former monarch at St.Paul’s Cathedral. The couple also observed Trooping the Colour from the Major General’s Office with some of the younger royals, including Zara and Mike Tindall‘s daughters, as non-working members of the Royal Family.
Following their brief appearance with their royal relatives at the Service of Thanksgiving, where the Sussexes were seen standing with Zara – Princess Anne’s daughter – and her husband Mike, it has been reported that the former rugby player had a choice word about Prince Harry and his attitude towards the House of Windsor.
At the Platinum Party at the Palace, Mike Tindall reportedly described Prince Harry’s actions as those of a “b*****d” to another guest. Although Harry and Meghan were absent from the event, where Mike was seated just a row behind William and Kate – with whom he shares a close bond – the couple even featuring on his podcast, reports the Mirror.
In Mike Tindall’s book co-authored with James Haskell and Alex Payne, titled ‘The Good, the Bad and the Rugby: Unleashed’, he dedicates a chapter to debunking Royal Family myths and sharing insights into his personal experiences with the monarchy.
He fondly recalls Queen Elizabeth’s more down-to-earth nature behind closed doors and expresses how seamlessly he was integrated into the House of Windsor. “Believe it or not, marrying into the Royal Family was pretty easy for me. They were always nice to me, and I was always nice to them. Simple really,” Mike pens in his tome.
Zara and Mike Tindall have been an item since their initial encounter during the 2003 Rugby World Cup. The couple tied the knot in July 2011 and have welcomed three tots: Mia, age 10; Lena, 5; and Lucas, who’s 2 years old.
The family of five resides at Gatcombe Park, the estate belonging to Princess Anne.
