Strictly Come Dancing fans were up in arms on Saturday night after judge Craig Revel Horwood’s remarks about Sarah Hadland and her dance mate Vito Coppola left them incensed.

During the much-anticipated Blackpool week showcase, Sarah and Vito’s couple’s choice performance to a medley of ‘Pad Dam’ and Kylie Minogue’s Cant Get You Out of My Head stunned everyone, drawing an enthusiastic response from those in the studio and watching at home.

However, Craig’s assessment that their routine was “a bit too perfect”, bewildered and infuriated the fans.

Amidst an uproar from the live audience over his two-word criticism, Craig further explained, “I know it sounds weird, I know it sounds weird! But it just lacked an attitude in those still moments that brought you out of the crowd. However spectacular, darling!”

Frustrated by his critique, viewers took to X. One spectator vented, “‘It was a bit TOO perfect’ – oh shut the hell up Craig, no pleasing him. He constantly bitches about imperfections and then complains because there aren’t any.”, reports the Mirror.

Another fan, equally baffled, asked: “Craig huh? ? ? What the hell ‘the dance is TOO perfect’ means? Huh?”

And yet another baffled fan expressed, “TOO PERFECT? ? Literally just give it a 10 it was so good … that’s what couples choice should be!!”

Meanwhile, another viewer was irate, venting: “Craig saying Sarah was too perfect is a load of rubbish. He’s waiting to give his 10 to one specific person and he’s making stuff up to make sure it happens that way.”

Yet, despite Craig’s seemingly contradictory critique, he awarded Sarah and her partner Vito nine out of ten. His score, however, did not halt Sarah’s successful run as she secured perfect tens from the other judges, accumulating a near-perfect total of 39 out of 40.

At 53, Sarah has been a standout on the dance floor and continues to excel in the competition this year. However, her prior dance background has repeatedly been highlighted by fans.

The star candidly shared with the Mirror: “I trained in dance from the age of three and then I left home at the age of 16 to go to a musical theatre college.”
