I’m A Celeb’s GK Barry shares a comical connection with another celeb set to enter the jungle tonight.
The 25 year old TikTok sensation has amassed an impressive 3.6 million followers and over 270 million likes on the platform in just four years.
GK also boasts a dedicated fan base on YouTube, where she hosts the Saving Grace podcast, a frank talk show featuring her interviews with fellow influencers and celebrities, including a recent session with the acclaimed comedian Alan Carr.
She has even made content about Tulisa Contostavlos, who will be joining her as a competitor on I’m A Celeb, referencing the singer in a 2022 video.
In a TikTok post, GK shared “embarrassing” childhood photos, narrating the tales behind them. She kicked off by confessing her bedroom once housed Justin Bieber posters and that her haircut in the first image, short at the back and long in front, was a failed attempt at emulating Victoria Beckham, reports OK!.
She continued with images of her “pet peacock” Fred and a family vacation snapshot from Trinidad and Tobago.
Further into the clip, GK presented a photo of herself in lime green trousers with halfway zips and quipped: “This was [taken during] my N-Dubz phase. Also, those trousers unzipped into shorts, so some could say I’m a fashion Icon. In this outfit I thought I could really out-do Tulisa.”
Tulisa first gained prominence as part of the hip-hop trio N-Dubz, alongside her cousin Dappy and rapper Fazer. The band was formed in the early 2000s and achieved mainstream success between 2007 and 2010, bagging several MOBO Awards and earning a BRIT nomination.
At the tender age of 23, Tulisa joined the X-Factor judging panel, taking over from Girls Aloud’s Cheryl Tweedy.
Now, GK is set to share the jungle with the pop star. Will she reveal her fangirl phase to Tulisa? Only time will tell.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! returns tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
