Comedy enthusiasts are in for a treat as one of their most beloved sitcoms is now available to stream in full, making it an ideal pick for a weekend binge-watch.

Collider praises the show as “a hilarious series that provides plenty of laughs, courtesy of its impeccable writing and wildly funny cast.”

Meanwhile, The Guardian compares its third season’s pace to 30 Rock, noting, “[It’s] zippy in the way that 30 Rock is zippy, and there is rarely a scene or a line that doesn’t at least reach for a laugh.”

Featuring Glenn Howerton, known from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the series could be a great choice for those who enjoyed the recent school-based sitcom English Teacher on Disney+.

The show in question is AP Bio, with Howerton playing the role of Jack Griffin, a disgraced Harvard professor who ends up teaching advanced placement biology in his hometown. Instead of educating his students in biology, he uses them to get back at his nemesis, Miles Leonard (portrayed by Tom Bennett), who snagged the job he wanted.

Unfortunately, AP Bio was cancelled in 2021 after a tumultuous journey, having been dropped by NBC after two seasons and then revived by Peacock for another two. Fans were left disappointed when the show ended, particularly because the fourth season concluded with several unresolved storylines, reports the Mirror.

A Reddit user commented: “Season four went absolutely off the rails and catered more to the specific actors and their strengths with the characters. I really enjoyed it a lot. The cult episode was insane in the best possible way. I’ll miss the show.”

To which another user replied: “Yeah that’s why despite being grateful it got an additional two seasons, I’m still a tad gutted they’ll be no more. Would have loved to see what levels of insanity they reached next.”

“Hot take apparently but seasons 3-4 were the best imo,” a third fan commented. “Some eps felt like those crazy Community episodes. The fanfic one from season four was brilliant! Sad to see it go.”

“Ah that’s a shame,” someone else said when AP Bio’s cancellation was confirmed. “I only started watching it relatively recently and had fun with it, felt like it was becoming a lot more confident in season four.”

“Damn wish we knew so we could have had some closure ending,” another commented.

And one fan even suggested: “They better make a spinoff about Heather (Allisyn Snyder) going to college.”

“I’m not emotionally prepared to say goodbye to Heather,” someone else agreed.

Unfortunately, there are currently no plans for an AP Bio season five or spin-off, but Howerton is still going strong with Charlie Day, Rob McElhenney, Kaitlin Olson and Danny DeVito on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
