CADDO PARISH, La. (KSLA/Gray News) – A man in Louisiana was killed in a skydiving accident Saturday after his parachute failed, officials said.
According to the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a report from Gilliam Airport at 1:25 p.m. about a missing man who was last seen skydiving.
Investigators learned that the skydiver’s parachute failed to deploy.
Several agencies searched for the man and discovered his body a couple hours later. Officials said they found him a couple miles from the intended landing location.
Further information was not available, including the man’s name. Officials are still investigating.
