Celtic fans will have the chance to quiz the club’s hierarchy as the Hoops’ 2024 Annual General Meeting approaches.
The likes of first team manager Brendan Rodgers, chairman Peter Lawwell and chief executive Michael Nicholson will all be in attendance. The yearly meeting always throws up some points of contention. Among the major talking points will likely centre around the team’s performances in Europe, an upturn in transfer expenditure, the Green Brigade, pyrotechnics in football grounds and potential fan bans.
In Celtic’s 2024 Annual Report, Lawwell commended Rodgers for securing the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup in his first season back at the club. The chairman extended his congratulations to Elena Sadiku and the women’s team for securing the club’s first ever SWPL Championship.
He added: “Our strategy has been crucial to the domestic success of recent years, and it is one your Board intends to maintain. In line with all other clubs who compete in European competition, we must also be cognisant of the UEFA Financial Sustainability rules and look to balance the short term and long-term objectives of our club. This is a difficult balance, but a vital one.”
When and where will the Celtic AGM take place?
The club have confirmed that their annual general meeting will take place on Friday, November 22. The event is scheduled to held at Celtic Park and will begin at 11.30am.
