(CNN) – Luxury automaker Jaguar is undergoing a bit of a transformation.
The British company is replacing its iconic logo.
The old logo featured all capital letters.
The new one features gold letters that are spaced out and in lowercase, with the exception of the “G” and the “U.” It’s meant to emphasize the way the British pronounce the name, which is “Jag-you-are.”
The pouncing cat logo, called the “leaper,” has also been changed.
The company says the new logo is a “powerful celebration of modernism.”
The modifications come as the company is trying to reinvent itself as an electric vehicle maker.
The first EV following the company’s reimagining is planned to go into production in 2026.
