I’m A Celeb star Tulisa Contostavlos is reportedly on the hunt for love in the jungle after a number of relationship heartaches and a period of celibacy.
The N-Dubz singer is Down Under with ex-boxer Barry McGuigan, podcaster GK Barry, footballer’s wife Coleen Rooney, and McFly’s Danny Jones.
The Mirror reports Tulisa is keen to show the world her “true, authentic self” after stepping back from the limelight for some time.
Sources claim the former X Factor judge has been celibate for at least two years but is open to finding love in the celebrity camp.
In 2004, the jungle played cupid when Peter Andre and Katie Price famously got together. Tulisa previously dated The Wanted’s Max George and actor Jack O’Connell and has since kept her romantic life out of the public eye.
Now 36, she’s rumoured to be open to finding someone special.
According to a source chatting with Closer magazine, “Tulisa would love a rumble in the jungle,” They added, “She’s a die-hard romantic, and the tough exterior is just a front after she’s built up a resistance to a lifetime of let-downs.”
With Radio 1’s Melvin Odoom and Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall as the eligible bachelors in camp, who knows what sparks might fly?
While Tulisa kept her N-Dubz bandmates in the dark about her jungle jaunt, those friends she did confide in were “really excited” for her big reveal.
Tulisa has opened up about her decision to join the cast of I’m A Celebrity, explaining that she’s on a mission to show her ‘true’ self.
The former N-Dubz star said: “My number one mission is to be my true, authentic self.
“If me being my authentic self connects with people in a mass way, then it must mean I’m doing something right in life.
“But I am not going to go looking for it. This isn’t a career move for me either. I will always go back to N-Dubz and this is a one-off experience.
“I am like Frodo Baggins on an unexpected journey. I feel really adventurous this year and the place I am now in, I want to do things that take me out of my comfort zone.
“I have always said I wouldn’t do this show in the past, as there are things that have terrified me. But the person I am now, I want to throw caution to the wind.”
