A beautiful hotel on the shores of Loch Linnhe has gone viral on TikTok after sharing a clip of one of its gorgeous private “beach houses” in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.
Each of the luxurious chalets boasts its own hot tub and a scenic view across the water towards majestic mountain Garbh Bheinn and other snowy peaks.
The video is captioned: “Beach houses with hot tubs, Glencoe,” and shows the amazing scene that guests are met with when they walk into the cabins, with their floor-to-ceiling windows offering the kind of vista that wouldn’t look out of place in a five-star ski resort.
The waterfront beach lodges are one of several types of accommodation on offer at The Holly Tree Hotel in Kentallen, Argyll, which also has a heated indoor swimming pool and spa as well as a seafood restaurant which serves “the finest fish and shellfish from nearby locations such as Benderloch, Arisaig, the Isle of Mull and the Isle of Skye.”
The clip has gone seriously viral, with 358,000 views so far and more than 200 comments from impressed and amazed TikTok users.
One person who had visited before wrote: “Amazing place! We stayed in the hotel next door, amazing views, balcony and amazing food. Really need to go back.”
Another satisfied customer added: “OMG, we stayed in this one for a special birthday, stunning, would definitely come back again.”
Another person said that they got engaged in one of the lodges – it’s certainly an ideal setting for a proposal.
There are eight waterfront lodges in total, they all have two bedrooms and sleep up to five people. A two night stay costs £440, however that would work out at a pretty reasonable £88 per person between five.
All of the beach lodges are pet-friendly, too, so your furry friend can come with you and enjoy the view as well. If you stay in the lodges, you also get complimentary access to the swimming pool and hot tub spa at the hotel.
If you want to venture further afield, there is a huge amount to do in and around Kentallen. You can head to nearby Glencoe and take a photography safari guided by a professional who will teach you how to take some iconic shots of famous Highland scenes.
Or you could drive up Glen Etive to Loch Etive and see where parts of the James Bond movie Skyfall were filmed, and pretend to be either Daniel Craig or Dame Judy Dench, depending on how you’re feeling on the day.
If you’re not afraid of heights, you could take a ride on the nearby Nevis Range Mountain Gondola, built on the north face of Aonach Mòr. It’s the only one of its kind in Britain which reaches heights of 650m.
And of course, after all of that excitement you can head back to your glamorous waterfront lodge to wallow in your private hot tub and watch the sun go down over the loch. Heavenly.
