GREENBRIER COUNTY, W.Va. – A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for Western Greenbrier County.

The alert was sent out by Greenbrier County Homeland Security and Emergency Management on Monday, Nov. 18.

The alert said heavy snow is possible, with total 3-day snow accumulations of 4-inches of snow or more possible. The alert also warns that wind gusts could get as high as 45 mph.

The alert says for people to prepare for slippery road conditions, and that the weather could affect the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.

The other concern listed is that wind gusts could take down tree branches.

The Winter Storm Watch will last until 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, according to Greenbrier County Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
