Black Friday may not officially kick off until November 29, but there’s no holding back the tide of early deals coming our way.
Amazon has already been handing out free Echo speakers and Sky has slashed its TV Stream device price to a mere £19. Now, Argos steps up with a tempting offer that’s causing quite a stir among shoppers.
The well-known British retailer is flogging a highly-rated 5-star LG television at a bargain price of just £179, claiming it to be Argos’s ‘lowest ever’ deal for this model.
For that reasonable sum, customers take home a 43-inch HDR screen reports the Mirror. It might not boast 4K capability, but it does feature technology including a Resolution Upscaler to enhance picture quality, making everything you view that bit crisper.
Also being a smart TV, you’ve got quick access to all the favourite streaming channels, whether free or subscription-based – Freeview Play, NOW, BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ are all in the arsenal.
Plus, for those who love their TV binge-watching sessions, HDR10 support enriches contrast and colour, while AI takes care of sound quality upgrades. Not to forget the gamers – they’ll relish the “Game Optimiser” setting which adjusts the display for an optimal gaming session, guaranteeing the likes of Forza, Grand Theft Auto, and Call of Duty look their best.
This LG television boasts an AI Processor Gen5 for a seamless user experience, with apps and menus running ultra-smoothly. It also features two HDMI ports and built-in Wi-Fi for easy streaming of shows and movies.
The telly has been a hit with Argos customers, earning a 5-star rating from over 700 reviews. You can check out the LG TV deal here.

In addition to the LG offer, Argos has slashed prices on a selection of Freesat screens as well. These modern TVs provide access to live and on-demand content from major broadcasters like BBC, ITV, and Channel 4 without the need for a traditional aerial.
Freesat also includes personalised content recommendations, a comprehensive main TV guide, and a Mini Guide for quicker browsing. The Argos sale features Toshiba and Bush Freesat screens, with prices starting at just £239.
Amazon isn’t alone in rolling out tempting Black Friday bargains. Argos has cut prices on Apple iPhones, Sky is touting its “lowest-ever” TV package rates, and Virgin Media is offering free broadband deals.
Not to be outdone, Amazon has announced the launch of its new high-end Micro LED Fire TV, which promises significantly enhanced quality compared to previous models. Amazon claims that the Fire TV Omni Mini-LED Series “optimises picture quality, audio, and performance to deliver its best and most innovative TV yet”.
