Cobra Kai fans were left reeling after the midseason finale of season six, which dropped on Netflix on Friday (November 15). The highly anticipated Sekai Takai tournament had finally arrived, but the tenth episode ended in tragedy when Kwon Jae-Sung (Brandon H.

Lee) met a shocking demise. Fans were left stunned and wondering how the show could continue after such a dramatic turn of events.

Many took to Reddit to express their disappointment and frustration, questioning how the characters could possibly continue with the tournament after witnessing such a traumatic event.

One fan wrote: “How can any of these characters in good conscience decide to finish the seikai taikai? These kids would all have PTSD from seeing that.”

Others echoed similar sentiments, with one commenting: “Finished the part 2, can the Seikei Taiki even continue after this? ” The abrupt ending left fans feeling cheated, with some feeling that the build-up to the tournament had been wasted.

The shocking conclusion has left fans eagerly awaiting the next installment, but also wondering how the show will recover from such a dramatic plot twist.

The final episode of the series saw a dramatic showdown between Sam LaRusso (Mary Mouser) and Kwon Jae-Sung (Brandon H. Lee), with Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan) stepping in to assist Sam.

Axel Kovacevik (Patrick Luwis), a member of the Iron Dragons who harbours feelings for Sam, was incensed by Kwon’s targeting of her. In an attempt to teach him a lesson, Axel launched a brutal attack on Kwon.

After being thrown to the ground and humiliated by Axel, Kwon, fuelled by rage, picked himself up. Spotting a knife on the ground, he decided to retaliate by charging at Axel with the intention of stabbing him.

Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), witnessing the escalating situation from afar, was unable to intervene in time. The confrontation resulted in a fight, during which Kwon accidentally stabbed himself.

The violent spectacle in the arena came to an abrupt end as Kwon lay motionless on the ground, a knife protruding from his chest.

Cobra Kai season six part two is now streaming on Netflix. Part three airs on February 13 2025.
