People across West Lothian are being urged to donate one pound to help provide a tasty Christmas dinner to struggling families.
There isn’t very much you can buy for £1 these days at all – but do you know how valuable £1 can be if multiple people put their hands in their pocket?
That’s the message from big hearted West Lothian women Deborah Gemmell and Lorna Brown, who are helping families through their ‘Greater Good’ campaign.
Through this they are providing struggling families with a Christmas dinner again this year.”
Deborah explained: “It costs the greater good approximately £70 to £80 to feed one family at Christmas.
“If everyone on our Facebook page alone paid just £1 to our Just Giving page then we would be able to feed approximately 37 families. “Now does that put into perspective how far £1 could go if we work together? “A packet of crisps or feed a family a luxury Xmas dinner? All for £1.”
Deborah is also appealing to local businesses to dig deep and help the cause.
You can give a cash donation or gift donations of products you make or sell, donate vouchers to spend in your shop or hold a bake sale, raffle or fundraiser and donate the money raised.
In return Deborah and Lorna will advertise your business on fb and ask our friends and followers to like and share your business page.
