A Place In The Sun fans were left fuming as one potential buyer walked out of a property and refused to see it.

TV presenter Laura Hamilton was fronting the show on Thursday (November 21), where a lady called Sally and her husband Tony were looking for their dream home in Cyprus.

Sally’s sister in law Sharon was already living there and whilst Tony didn’t appear on the show, Sharon was there to help. Sally and Tony had £125,000 to spend and had the benefit of Sharon already knowing the area very well, given that she had lived there for seven years already. They were looking in the city of Peyia, which was a 40 minute drive from Paphos airport.

The pair were looking for a two bedroom apartment or townhouse – with the hope of getting an extra bedroom. Their main focus was a place with a pool and areas where they could spend quality time with their family.

Whilst their budget was £125,000, they were actually happy to spend another £25,000 for a dream property. However, things didn’t go to plan – and they ended up walking out of one property, refusing to look around it.

In another property, Sally – who wanted a nice sea view – refused to go up to the top floor as she was scared of heights, meaning she couldn’t enjoy the view and thus ruled it out as a possible place she could live.

Looking at the second property, which cost £127,119, Sally admitted: “Property one I walked in and loved – but not this one,” as Laura added: “I don’t want you to waste time if you think this isn’t for you.”

Sally was adamant she didn’t want to look at it, whilst Sharon also refused, leaving Laura absolutely stunned.

Angry fans fumed over Sally and Sharon’s comments on the properties. “Too scared to go up the stairs. What a pair of timewasters #aplaceinthesun,” one wrote, whilst a second added: “The fact that Sally can’t/won’t go up the staircase doesn’t bode well for this property does it #aplaceinthesun.”

A third penned: “I think that “a tricky search” is a bit of an understatement, Laura. #aplaceinthesun,” with a fourth adding: “If she’s so scared of heights how did she manage to stand on the balcony #aplaceinthesun.”
