A Married at First Sight duo have announced they’re going their separate ways just one year after meeting on the series.
Tasha Jay broke the news on Instagram this morning that she and Paul Liba, whom she was paired with on MAFS last year, have called it quits, the Mirror reports.
The 26-year-old expressed in her statement: “It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing Paul and I have decided to part ways. There isn’t any major reason, we have just come to terms with the fact that we are not right for each other.”
She continued, praising her ex-beau: “Paul is the loveliest guy I’ve ever met and I’m grateful for the time we’ve shared together and I’m glad that we can remain friends. I’m utterly heartbroken that I’m having to write this post, but it is best for both of us.”
Tasha wrapped up her message stating: “Thank you to everyone who has supported us as a couple. I hope you can now support us on our individual journeys.”
Echoing Tasha, Paul reposted the same heartfelt statement on his social media platforms. This year’s season featured participants such as Ella Morgan and Nathanial Valentino, Jay Howard and Luke Worley, and Shona Manderson and Brad Skelly.
With Tasha and Paul going their separate paths, it marks the end of all couples from that batch, leaving none still together.

Back in May, on the BAFTA red carpet, Tasha boasted: “Stronger than ever. We’re the only couple left. Reigning champions I’d say.”
They even shared aspirations for an official wedding since the show’s ceremony doesn’t hold legal ground.
Tasha has opened up about her relationship with former beau Paul, stating: “The chemistry’s still there. I’m waiting on a real ring though, just saying. We want a big wedding, big diamond. That’s what I need.”
Following rumours earlier in the year suggesting the couple was facing issues after spending Valentine’s Day apart, media outlets described their situation as “on the rocks” and observed: “Out of all the MAFS UK couples still together Tasha and Paul remain the most elusive as they posted absolutely nothing. It’s giving on the rocks x.”
The fiery ex-TV star quickly clarified matters through social media by retorting: “It’s giving we live in two different cities and we’re celebrating on the weekend thank you very much,” coupled with “And we posted on our stories.”
Despite having met and matched on the E4 series without prior knowledge of one another, Tasha and Paul have since parted ways but continue to follow each other on Instagram, signalling an amicable separation.
The pair, who both participated in the show, have consistently refuted suggestions of a split before their eventual breakup yet maintain a connection online.
