Fortnite will be temporarily unavailable for players across the globe today on Thursday November 21, as update 32.11 is set to go live.

Here’s when you can expect the game to be back up and running, along with a sneak peek at the new content waiting on the other side. Fortnite Remix Chapter 2 continues to captivate gamers, with the launch of Fortnite Chapter 6 looming large.

But let’s not rush things – there’s plenty to get excited about before we reach that point, including the arrival of Juice WRLD, who’s lined up to star in the Fortnite Remix: The Finale live event, marking the end of the current season.

Before this takes place, Juice WRLD will receive his own POI in-game, following in the footsteps of Eminem, Ice Spice and Snoop Dogg earlier in the season. Players can also look forward to a new Mythic item provided they can defeat him in battle, reports the Mirror.

Here’s the official Fortnite downtime schedule, plus a rundown of the fresh content you can look forward to once update 32.11 has been rolled out.

Is Fortnite down?

Fortnite server downtime kicks off at 9am GMT / 4am EST / 1am PST today across all platforms, as confirmed by a tweet from the @FortniteStatus account.

However, you’ll likely find that you’re unable to start new matches from around 8.30am GMT / 3.30am EST / 12.30am PST, as matchmaking will be switched off approximately 30 minutes prior to the start of the downtime.

Just like the previous update’s downtime, which was only last week, it is anticipated that Fortnite to be offline for approximately five hours or so, with the game predicted to be back online at 2pm GMT / 9am EST / 6am PST at the latest.

What’s fresh in Fortnite update 32.11?

Following the launch of update 32.11, Epic Games has confirmed via a blog post that Fortnite Kicks can finally be equipped to Outfits, with all players able to secure a free universal ‘Show ‘Em Off’ emote by heading to the Item Shop and claiming it for 0 V-Bucks!

The Emote will be available between 12am GMT on Friday, November 22 and 12am GMT on Monday, December 2 for players in the UK.

And for players in the US, that’s between 7pm EST / 4pm PST on Thursday, November 21 and 7pm EST / 4pm PST on Sunday, December 1.

In terms of other content, aside from some extremely limited early patch notes, Epic Games hasn’t revealed much about what new content players can expect to see in update 32.11.

But luckily, as always, there’s the usual selection of leakers to turn to for help, who often leak new content beforehand. This time around, @HYPEX has us covered with this tweet, with the new content to expect as follows: “Overall, it appears to be a pretty strong update, once the downtime has concluded of course!”
