A 29-year-old man has been arrested following a dramatic crash that left a convertible sports car flipped onto its roof on a busy road in Dalkeith.
The incident occurred on Eskbank Road at around 2:50 pm on Wednesday, November 20. An image shared with Edinburgh Live shows the overturned car with shattered glass scattered around its windows and the front bumper partially covering the pavement.
Traffic came to a standstill as Police Scotland attended the scene, which took place between the Morrisons supermarket and Dalkeith Rugby Club.
The crash involved a single vehicle, and it is currently unclear whether anyone sustained injuries in the collision. Police say the male was arrested and an investigation has been launched.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.50pm on Wednesday, 20 November, 2024, we received a report of a crash involving a one vehicle on Eskbank Road, Dalkeith.
“A 29-year-old man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing”.
